Mega update
Well, I've been meaning to get this blog up and running for months and months. After seeing my cousin's blog, I thought it would be a neat way to share with both of our families since we're kinda spread out. What I really need is an english->french translation tool so Jayce's family could just click it and they could easily read what we've been up to.
What have we been up to??? hmm, not a whole lot, just trying to get back to the real world, adjusting to life with out my Mom. I know she'll always be with me but it's just not the same. I went to the greenhouse this weekend to pick up the planters Dad, Damon and I planted... it was wierd going out there alone. Gardening was something mom and I did together, she kept me from planting things in the wrongs spots. Last fall mom & I dug up along the side of my house and planted bulbs which miraculously all came up this spring. Beautiful tulips and daffodils and all sorts of things that I have no clue what they are. I got about half my bedding plants in the ground before I had to take cover, it was just too hot on Saturday and I had to rest up for golf!
Golf, that's what we did on Saturday afternoon with Dad. 9 holes is all my heels can handle, (I had to get new golf shoes since I can't seem to find mine) the blisters from these shoes are killing me, but they're super cute :D And we all know how much I love shoes! Oh ya, back the golfing... last week I shot ~65 and this week ~60, so atleast I'm improving. I will not embarass anyone else by posting their scores. Jayce and Dad both started out strong and that's all I'll say.
Mason:
He's getting to be such a porker! almost 10lbs now (9.2 when we weighed him May 31rst) and just over 5 months old. Nobody else seems to notice a difference but he has actually almost doubled in size from when we first brought him home in March. I'm working on getting a fence up in the back yard so that he can run crazy, he loves to be out there but right now he's confined to our 10x12 deck and that's just not ample room to run laps unlike the basement at Dad's house where he goes absolutely crazy!

Home alone
Well, once again I am home alone.
Dropped Jayce off at the military bus this morning far too early (5:45am is not a time of the day that I enjoy). He's on his way to the north pole once more. It's only 2 weeks this time so I guess I'll survive.
I've got all sorts of stuff to do while he is away, maybe I'll paint the kitchen bright red! or maybe bubblegum pink. hmmmm, taping around all those cupboards actually doesn't sound that appealing so I think I'll find something else to do.
Now that the weather seems to be turning I guess Mason and I will be spending a bit more time outside. I have to go somewhere with him to show off his hot new outfit. There are varying opinions on Mason's cool new duds.
The neighbourhood kids say he looks like Rocky Balboa!!!! I think he looks super cool, a dog of leisure... Jayce says he looks like a nerd

It's a boy!
Yesterday we became parents! This is our new baby boy Mason. He is a Rat Terrier and just the cutest puppy ever. I think I'm inlove already.

Southshore
So nervous for no reason at all. The weeks leading up to our trip, I was frought with anxiety. This is not a natural feeling for me, but with so many unknowns and a different language as well, I didn't know what to expect when I got to Montreal and the home of my soon to be in-laws (it sounds so much nicer in french: belle-mere and belle-pere, I am their belle-fille)
We had a great time with Michelle and Charlie (Jayce's parents) and I got to meet many more aunts and uncles and cousins too. Although Christmas there was not at all what I was used to everybody made me feel welcome trying to speak as much english as possible to keep me feeling included. I'm really going to have to work on my french, I didn't understand nearly as much as I thought I would.
We had a great time shopping in around Montreal. So many shops to see and so little time :D Ohhh, the shoes! It's a good thing we don't live in a city or we'd definitely be broke and we'd need a bigger house to keep all our shoes and Jayce's jeans.
